Amity crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, October 28th, 2024. She was asleep in the arms of her human Grammy, Cheryl. She is survived by her Grandparents Jim and Cheryl, Mom Lita, and Fur Family siblings Gypsy, Zoey, Kong, Jax, and Piper. Born January 2006, "Pita" had 2 homes before she found her forever home with the Jezeskie Family. Found on a local trading website, she was adopted by Lita, who renamed her "Amity". Amity means "friendship". Years later, it was discovered that she was a Pomeranian-Poodle mix. She lived out 18 years on the Jezeskie Farm, making all sorts of friends along the way. Her friends included chickens, ducks, cats, rabbits, cows and goats. As a young pup, Amity enjoyed going all sorts of places, from running errands, to dressing up for costume parades. She was always eager to tag along with her humans. She enjoyed activities such as dancing, doing tricks for house guests, playing with her stuffed toy poodle, throwing bottlecaps around during car rides, cuddling her loved ones, taking long naps, and eating "Sketties and Kielbasa". Unfortunately, Amity went blind at the age of 8, but she loved all that life still had to offer her. It was only in her later years that she began to slow down and lose her spunk. However, she never lost her sass and with age came a cantankerous attitude that the whole family loved nonetheless. Amity lost a hard fight as her fragile little body wore out. She spent her last days as comfortable and happy as could be expected, always in a family member's arms. We will miss you and think of you often, Amity. Wait for us at the end of the Bridge. Our love for you will never pass away...
